Corporate History

Omicron Biochemicals, Inc. is a privately-held corporation. The company was founded in 1982 by Anthony Serianni and Robert Barker, both then at Cornell University. The company was initially incorporated in the State of New York and its corporate office was located in Ithaca, New York until 1986. In 1986, Omicron was re-incorporated in the State of Indiana and all of its operations were relocated to South Bend, Indiana. The laboratory was located on the University of Notre Dame campus from September 1982 to October 1994. In October 1994, Omicron moved to a new laboratory facility on Ironwood Drive in South Bend. The Ironwood Drive facility was occupied from 1994 to 2006. In July 2006 we moved into our current laboratory facility on Hill Street in South Bend.
